Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

I don't think game will be going anywhere for the time being, it does need a proper wake up call. Maybe time to merge game and gamestation shops and brands. Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

Bonmarche saved, but 100 or more shops look set to close! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-16680318 At least one of my local branches (Bransholme, Hull) is among them. According to the local newspaper, they were ordered to cancel a tombola which would've raised money for Macmillan Cancer, and tha...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

I once did a New Deal work placement in Peacocks. But I only lasted a few days before they decided the work wasn't there. They didn't even need to pay me, I was free labour! Clearly, they were overstaffed. Most shops loved having free workers... but it had an unfortunate side effect that they would ...

Sky Go is the service allowing you to stream channels through the Internet, and Sky Anytime+ is the catch-up service. They don't have logos at all, just plain text. It's odd that they use two brands, both of their BBC counterparts are considered part of iPlayer.

Yeah, 5Demand and 4OD. 5Demand's is just the normal Channel 5 logo with the word demand next to it in capital letters, while 4OD's is the normal Channel 4 logo with a O inside a D.

I don't like the sound of that at all. Sorry, but that's giving away far too much information.

Re: The *OFFICIAL* Asda thread

My local Netto became a Morrisons instead, because there was already an Asda not far away (Asda were forced to sell four Netto stores in Hull on because they already had four supermarkets here - so Morrisons bought two, and some outfit I can't remember the name of bought the others).

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread

We have a similar thing here in Sheffield. We had a branch of Abbey, a branch of Bradford and Bingley, and a branch of Alliance and Leicester. All of them are now Santander, but two branches are literally opposite each other across the tramlines on the high street, and the other is just a little fu...
