Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

I think Globaltraffic24 neatly summed up GBN in one succinct sentence a few days ago: “We’re amazingly popular because we got more viewers than eternally loss making Sky News” is fairly lame. On the subject of GB News' operations (as I'm sensing it's not permitted on pres.cafe despite not being Dan...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

The Guardian reported that the logistics firm that handles Wilko's store deliveries suspended deliveries for two days last week while they were awaiting payment. Home delivery is suspended, but thanks to store deliveries resuming click and collect is back to normal. And surprisingly, still operatin...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

I think most people will realise by now that Derek will say anything to support GB News both on Pres Cafe and DS and while Stockland Hillman comes over as this supposed neutral who tries to post as if everyone's in the wrong, he's another who'll defend the channel regardless of the misinformation s...

The biggest problem my wife encou...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region

Some of the London Overground ticket sale stats are shocking but I'm curious who are these people who are buying tickets when Oyster and Contactless exists. Overseas tourists. Contactless is not ubiquitous everywhere, and even if it was providers sting with charges. Oyster is a much harder concept ...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region

In London contactless was rolled out onto the underground 2014, and then in 2015 ticket offices on the underground were closed. I emphasised the "then" as that is essentially the problem with the proposal to close railway station ticket offices. With TFL they introduced a simpler alternati...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region

I think any problem is Euston itself as any changes made at the station just don’t seem to help due to its dreadful layout. These screens at other Network Rail managed stations such as Victoria or Waterloo seem to have been better received. I personally like the new style, although they can feel a ...

Regardless of people's thoughts on individual members, I can't say I particularly understand the rationale or care for the execution of this posting subject to approval. Surely, if somebody has broken the rules or their posts are so repeatedly contentious that they need to be pre-moderated, they sh...

Perhaps connected with fixing their previous issues? Don't think so, as the problem is most noticeable when trying to view page 39 of the Schofield thread. Other pages in that thread seem to load fine, so which suggests there's some bad code in one of the posts that is affecting the page. I think t...
