Re: Wedding of the year.
I didn't really have any expectations, but the whole thing has really put me off the wedding aspect of marriage. It's horrid and silly. I didn't like her dress. I didn't like the stupid car. I didn't like the idea of being part of it (so I slept through it) and I found anybody pertaining to be so on...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
None of these operations are at all able to deal with any spikes in demand. DPD are generally better but like the rest they screwed up last Christmas, taking almost a month to deliver a package (from being logged as in their system to delivery) with plenty of "tomorrow" promises. After HDN...

Re: Walking

Re: Why there is no such thing as a 24 Hour Tesco Store
The former Tales of Robin Hood in Nottingham has become a Tesco Express. I can understand the need for two or three branches of McDonalds or Starbucks in a large city like Nottingham, but it's not like people were queuing round the block to shop at the existing Tesco Express just 100 metres down th...

Re: The Alternative Vote
AV gives me the opportunity to vote Green without any fear of my vote being 'wasted'. I reject the argument that AV means we wont get PR - voting yes in this referendum goes some way to articulating my disapproval of FPTP. It's hard to see a No vote leading to any further electoral reform discussion...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
In America, when JC Penney or Sears turn a branch in to an "Outlet" it's generally a sign that there is no mid/long-term future for that location, and they usually close within a few years as the lease comes up. Sometimes this is seen as the point as to when the Mall/Centre 'died'. Sounds ...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
The Sainsbury's in which I used to work has a similar identity crisis, all the nice names given to counters under the 1999 scheme ("salad kitchen", "delicatessen" and "food to go") were lost (becoming "Salad Bar", "Deli" and "Hot meals" res...
