Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
Yeah, well you would say that, Phil. You'd defend Josef Fritzl just to be contrarian. Anyway you're just as right wing as he is so no wonder you'd agree. You defended GB News relentlessly for months until it turned out you'd never even watched the channel. All you do is disagree with everyone else ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
That Derek is such a prick, isn’t he? Constantly defending GB News and being snippy and snide towards anyone who doesn’t worship the channel like he does. Horrible old squirt. Can’t say that’s the impression I get. Yeah, well you would say that, Phil. You'd defend Josef Fritzl just to be contrarian...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread
Wouldn't be surprised if they're in serious trouble soon, the stores are dead half the time now yet you can go to the ASDA or Tesco 5 minutes down the road and they're packed. Going down hill big time and fast and it's not unique to one store either. Even popped into the big one at Harrogate the ot...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
I recently visited an Extra service station and it was very nice but, that logo is definitely designed to look as similar to McDonald’s isn’t it? (It had a Burger King). https://extraservices.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Extra_SkeltonLake_July2020-96-2.jpg Do we have an official thread on motor...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
Speaking of Primark - they seem to be having a great time at the moment. Every time I go into one, no matter where, there always seems to be a huge queue for the tills. They seem to have found a niche for homeware stuff with either Harry Potter or Mickey Mouse plastered all over them.

Re: Shops with excessive tannoy announcements
In my new-ish place of work, the tannoy is avoided as much as possible with communication done over headsets instead. I think this is a fairly recent thing.

Wilko https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/wilko-to-stop-selling-popular-item-across-all-stores-from-january-1/ar-AA15Rvzl Translation - Camelot don't trust them to pay. I’m not sure what the issue is with Wilko. On paper they should be successful - a decent range (that’s not too bloated), competi...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread
I assume the banks know what branches are being used and what aren't - that's not to say that's their main driver for choosing which to close, though. My current banking anecdote is courtesy of my wife, who's just become treasurer of a society; and initially couldn't get herself added to the bank a...

Definitely in Waitrose. Think I’ve seen them in Co-op too.
