Re: TV Programme from 2008
I thought I would have this, as I download a lot of rail stuff for my dad. It is on youtube though, most of it anyway.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
Well, one reason to is because videos get deleted either by the user or by an objection, so it's good to have a hard copy, especially of rare tv clips. Plus it's not at all hard to fish it out of a browser's cache.

Re: CD Lens cleaners
I remember manually moving the laser on one Playstation so that the brush would actually touch the lens and in the end didn't seem to make much difference. Always use some cleaner on a bud these days.

Re: Adverts which irritate and entertain
Ghastly singing adverts are coming back. It's like the 70's all over again. Cuprinol and some tool supplier are dancing like it's 1978.

Re: One for the weather geeks
I remember watching with fascination an actual Meteosat receiver in the Birmingham Science Museum back in the day, wishing I could have one. ISTR it updated really slowly, line by line.

Re: DJs taking over records
It's just so they can talk to the listener more, get more travel news in, read more texts etc. Steve Wright talks over tunes, but annoyingly never says what they are!

Re: Tesco bag situation
Tesco here doesn't hide away bags, or have small ones. Must be the manager's choice. I'm sure Tesco's bags have a new more retro design without that green clubcard logo they've had for ages. Talking of supermarkets, Skegness is in desperate need of an Asda, or even a Sainsbury's. I'm sick of Tesco f...

Re: Birmingham
Speaking as a badge wearing Birmingham fanatic, it's easy enough to spend a whole day there. In no order: Have fun idly walking round the office filled streets. Pop to the mailbox and the various malls dotted about. Play the how does the pallasades join onto bullring game. Stare at BT tower. The old...

Re: Spotify
Top drawer program. Really is amazing! It's got tons of things on it I have been looking for on Soulseek etc for years! It loves obscure stuff. But no Driver 67. Or Hi-Ho Silver by Jim Diamond. But anyway.
Only qualm I have is the lack of an equaliser or other audio enhancements.
