I tend to leave graphics to others, but basic graphics are done in the gimp, with basic edits made in irfanview.

get yourself a cheap usb2 drive caddy off ebay, whack the disk in and you should have a fully functioning portable drive. When you've got your files, you can then use it as a portable drive for video/audio without having to mess around with burning things to cd/dvd.
