The Hope Valley in Derbyshire (/Lancashire?) is breathtaking. Other parts of Derbyshire, around High Peak and Crich are pretty stunning too.

My understanding is that the Metro interface is OPTIONAL and that the traditional desktop is very much still there in Windows8.
