Unlike many idiots who we ban, winifred did send us an apology, and admitted that his behaviour prior to the ban was unacceptable. I discussed the situation with Asa, and we both decided to give him a second chance on a warning that we will not tolerate it again.

Just had a heart attack - I banned him via the "Site Ban" button under the username. However, he posted again! Anyway, I've done it manually in the Admin control panel, so let's hope it works!

That's it! I've blown a gasket and banned Winifred. I'm usually a softie when it comes to banning, as I hate the thought of denying anyone access to participating in our community. However, I feel that Winifred took it too far. I don't mind having a good old argument, in fact I think it's healthy. B...

Actually, I've just noticed that Winifred seems to be a he - well, according to the registration e-mail address, anyway. That would make more sense given the obsessive postings on Kerplunksky and Fiona Bruce. Its just so vague, isn't it Rob? I've also noticed (s)he talking about "being Fiona f...

Winifred is a *she*? I thought it was just some lame laddie. Ok the name should have given me a clue, but why would the log on name make any more sense than the drivel (s)he posts? Actually, I've just noticed that Winifred seems to be a he - well, according to the registration e-mail address, anywa...

Hauppauge WinTV 2000 (PVR 250)

I've had the WinTV PVR 250 TV card for just over 18 months, and have had my VCR, DVD player and Satellite receiver plugged into it at various times. All have worked perfectly. However, I plugged my VCR into it yesterday by the same method (SCART-S-Video adapter, plus audio cables)but I do not get an...

She's the main reason why I decided to take more interest over here. I thought Katherine was far too single minded and boring, but this Winifred cow's FAR worse. The Goderators appear to love her to bits, so do absolutely NOTHING about her, regardless of how many times people with brains complain. ...

My set-up involves this: http://www.coloredhome.com/conectar_pc_tv/s-video_a_scart_1_19.JPG I plug the SCART of the jack into the VCR's SCART socket. Then, I plug an S-Video lead into the other side of the jack, and then into the S-Video socket on the TV card. For audio, I use 2 PHONO to mini jack, ...

(including General Studies). Ah yes I forgot about that. Not only do you have to pick more subjects, you have to do General Studies aswell - something else I didn't have to do back in 2001. What kind of subject matter is in this? Specifically, why do most universities restrict the value of general ...

As someone from the last generation to do 'old fashioned' A Levels, where you pick 3 subjects (or 4 if you were really clever), studied them for 2 years, and got 3 (or 4) grades at the end, I don't like the sound of this new system, studying 5 subjects at *advanced* level only to drop 2 of them and...
