Re: The UK is on Google Street View!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1166722/Angry-villagers-form-human-chain-stop-Google-Street-View-filming.html morons If I hadn't been on street view, I never would have known that you can get into someone's house via the door. Exactly. Like having a photo of a street is any more intrusive t...

Re: Remixes

i was listening to east of england dance music station kiss.fm (under duress) and they were playing a record which had the vocals of one track and the instrumentation of another, i've not been able to find it anywhere, so i am assuming it's one of their own - the station does remix some recent tune...

Re: RIP Plymouth Sound...

I struggle to get my head round the Heart decision. On paper the reasons are obvious - networking, unified branding, lower costs and all the rest. It's true to say that history and heritage alone cannot prevent change. But I find it difficult resisting the temptation of comparing Global and ITV. Th...

Re: RIP Plymouth Sound...

It's a bit like when the BBC in London decided in London that all regional news should look exactly the same - except in London itself where it apparently made sense for it to look different. Although with BBC London, or BBC LDN as it was at the time, I could understand the mentality behind it. Thi...

Re: The UK is on Google Street View!

I got quite excited as the yellow man lit up in my area, so to speak, but the blue roads don't appear. Not sure whether that means StreetView is imminent for my road or not but it's interesting to wander round other parts in the meantime.

Re: BBC Radio 1

Tsk, I hate replying to a thread that I was the last person to write in. There was an article in The Sun (yes, I know) last week that suggested that the Radio 1 "bosses" (the generic term for the mystical people in charge) are looking to freshen up the lineup. And by freshen up the lineup...

Re: Simon Luxton

Again, shocking to hear. As Gavin mentions, he shared in common the interest that brought everyone to this odd part of the internet in the first place. News like this brings back the perspective.

Re: Birmingham

I'm surprised at the generally positive aurae exuding from this thread over the offerings, er, offered by Birmingham. I have to go up there on Thursday afternoon, attend some sort of evening work thing, have an overnight stay, a morning of boredom and then should be set free again in the afternoon, ...

Birmingham

Anyone know anything interesting about Birmingham? I have to spend a day there next week which also means an overnight stay. Is Birmingham the kind of place I should get the first train out? Or is it worth sticking around for a couple of hours to have a walk round while I'm there? I am fairly centra...

Re: Spotify

Have to say how impressed I am with this. I've been trying to catch it out with a few obscure ones and B-sides but haven't beaten it as much as I anticipated. The speed is immense and the quality is good enough. Like it.

Re: Sky Broadband E-Mail

I don't know for sure as I have no Sky e-mail experience - however are you sure it's [email protected] rather than [email protected]? I would have thought the former kind of format would be reserved for Sky staff rather than Joe, whereas a username would make more sense for e-mail settings?
