to be honest, i dont think any regular consumers should be able to hide the number they dial from. I did agree with that, until I realised that there are legitimate reasons for a standard consumer wanting to withhold their number. As my part time job, I deliver Pizzas. Occasionally, there is occasi...

I don't know about that. In Morrison's heartland of West Yorkshire there are hardly any Safeways. The same goes for the Kwik Save/Somerfield situation. A Kwik Save near me has been rebranded Somerfield Essentials, most people in this area won't have been in a Somerfield before But there were at lea...

Nonsense. You're telling me that people 'down south' have never come across Morrison's? Where do you come from? By 'down south' do you mean 'in or around London'? Before takeover, there were no Morrisons stores in Cornwall. Before, takeover, there were no Morrisons stores in Devon. And although I c...

In the Safeway stores in my area (which still say Safeway outside, although beyond that the brand is completely meaningless now - it's Morrisons carrier bags and Morrisons own brand all the way) I can't say I've noticed that much of a difference since the takeover. But, I still maintain that it was ...

Just as with all the other's it's a scam. How can someone afford to provide pay TV channels for a one off 99p payment that is '100% legal'? How can they manage to televise football matches that aren't being televised by any broadcaster? Why would a legitimate mass streaming operation pay for the lic...

Here's the Protect and Survive public information broadcast. Very scary! I wonder what the one now-a-days will be like. If anyone finds out, post it here. That's just one of them. It's part of a set of about 20 films, all made with the same shocking production values and with that bizarre electroni...

If we were legally entitled to shoot, bash, stab, mutilate, poke anyone who has broken into our house, it would simply mean that burglars would come prepared for such: they'd bring a gun; they'd bring a big knife. They'd shoot your before you could shoot them. They'd be expecting to be killed, so w...

Absolutely and completely off topic, but does anyone remember back to Windows 1.x and 2.x when the utility that you used to manage your printing was actually called 'Print Spooler', and you used to get a little icon with 'Spooler' at the bottom of the screen every time you sent something to print? (...

Did look in to third party software, but it seemed like a bit of hassle. Although ICS in 98 is very simple, it does the job and had used it before without any problems so was keen to avoid problems. Proxy servers can be awkward to configure, but some very simple 'just do the job' solutions do exist...
