Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Crikey the 'Compact disk' signs in the bottom right photo are pinned onto some unpainted hardboard, surepy that's just not finished yet rather than some kind of retro look. The bare chipboard is part of a look, you can even buy very expensive stuff which has been treated to be properly smooth rathe...

Re: Grimmy leaves Radio 1
He really won't - sure he's got some fans, but he's probably the most "marmite" of the Radio 1 roster at present. I know a lot of people who turn off the second they hear his show start.

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
There are some pretty major issues with truck drivers at the moment - specifically a lack of them - causing lots of problems throughout the food chain. I've heard about containers waiting at Felixstowe for a couple of weeks. I'm told there's no end in sight to the problem and it will start affecting...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
I think it's only fair that TV geeks speculate. There's speculation about what the issues might be, such as having automation overriding decisions, or that delaying the launch to allow for more rehearsals would have helped identify the problems; and then there's... Or perhaps the Discovery staff ha...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
Yes the GB News thread has just turned into a really boring running commentary of the channel. We know they’re having sound problems. We know it’s a bit shit. We also know that there are really talented people working in the background under a lot of pressure and it wasn’t their fault that the chan...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
The 455s are 38 years old so it makes sense to replace them with newer trains, there is only so much refurbishment you can do and as we saw with the Class 483 on the Island Line, eventually it is cheaper to buy new trains compared to keep repairing the stock. I think you mean, eventually it is chea...

Re: What's Next?
I can see working from home being curtailed when companies properly realise they are responsible for people's home working environments - especially around display screen equipment, chairs and tables - all stuff that has been quietly ignored while the pandemic has been going on, but will come back t...

Re: Govt/NHS Digital plan to share patient data
They provided an online opt-out last time this idea came up, unfortunately it was extremely popular and they were basically forced to admit the idea was bad. Fast forward a few years and the same idea comes back, with a couple of extra restrictions on the use of the data and a much harder to use opt...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
Glad to see the forum didn't go down after a posting blitz on the Prince Philip Obit thread. Sorry Rob, but that thread is not a good advert for the site. I'm going to ignore the stream-of-conciousness mega thread issues, with everyone posting one sentence posts overlapping with each other, but onl...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
So apparently the knock off BBC logos being used by one department are proof the government is planning to overthrow the BBC by way of stealth rebranding and it must surely be a sign of bigger changes to come. Never mind the fact there have been tonnes of dodgy variants floating around over the yea...
