Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
I don't know why I expect anything else, but the BBC logo thread seems to be dominated by just a few posters asking silly/obvious questions that either can't be answered or don't need to be asked in the first place.
Don't forget the uninformed stating their ideas as if they're confirmed facts ...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
Supertram concession only has a couple of years to run anyway, and there's a lot of discussion and consultation going on around what to do when it ends, particularly as it will be similarly timed with the planned replacement of some of the infrastructure and the rolling stock. Sounds like the ...

Re: Local Newspaper Feeds
Some of them are also implementing paywalls, so you can only read five articles a month or the like. On the rare occasion the click bait works and I get told I've run out of free articles, I just shrug and go "fair enough, I was only procrastinating anyway". Nothing about those sites or their ...

Has it all kicked off in the newsroom again? Guest access revoked and all the Twitter accounts back in hiding again.

Crikey the 'Compact disk' signs in the bottom right photo are pinned onto some unpainted hardboard, surepy that's just not finished yet rather than some kind of retro look.
The bare chipboard is part of a look, you can even buy very expensive stuff which has been treated to be properly smooth ...

Re: Grimmy leaves Radio 1
He really won't - sure he's got some fans, but he's probably the most "marmite" of the Radio 1 roster at present. I know a lot of people who turn off the second they hear his show start.

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
There are some pretty major issues with truck drivers at the moment - specifically a lack of them - causing lots of problems throughout the food chain. I've heard about containers waiting at Felixstowe for a couple of weeks. I'm told there's no end in sight to the problem and it will start affecting ...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
I think it's only fair that TV geeks speculate.
There's speculation about what the issues might be, such as having automation overriding decisions, or that delaying the launch to allow for more rehearsals would have helped identify the problems; and then there's...
Or perhaps the Discovery ...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
Yes the GB News thread has just turned into a really boring running commentary of the channel. We know they’re having sound problems. We know it’s a bit shit. We also know that there are really talented people working in the background under a lot of pressure and it wasn’t their fault that the ...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
The 455s are 38 years old so it makes sense to replace them with newer trains, there is only so much refurbishment you can do and as we saw with the Class 483 on the Island Line, eventually it is cheaper to buy new trains compared to keep repairing the stock.
I think you mean, eventually it is ...
