Re: iPhone Apps

I don't have an IPhone (yet!) - seems I'm always one of the last to get the latest phones - my fault for preferring to be on PAYG! Anyway, I'm very surprised the TVCatchup app hasn't been mentioned here - lets you watch the majority of Freeview channels (and a few Sky ones) on your phone - I can run...

Re: Michael Jackson dead at 50

Just to go back to the Plymouth Herald argument, the Jacksons do have connections to Devon. Michael visited Exeter City, as has been said, but the family were also considering/did buy a house in North Devon. Anyway, despite visiting the Plymouth area once or twice I've never bought the Herald - I al...

Re: What's the deal with digital radio station on-screen nam

What about all the stations that use FM or AM or even the frequencies in their display name on DAB? Hardly makes sense - and then there are stations that don't even broadcast on FM that use that in their name - Jazz FM and Asda FM spring to mind. Would be interesting to see if the stations continue ...

Re: Pig Flu - the swines !

I'm wondering why we apparently now have to remember 'cat shit' when we sneeze or cough, according to these new adverts.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Not quite dredged up by accident... I was just looking for a relevant Countryfile thread to talk about the move to prime time next week, the search facility couldn't find one, so I came accross that one via Google which I had started last year and interestingly was able to post in it. A little while...

Good thing I checked here - I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been 'banned'!

Re: It's Snowing!

I'm just wondering whether I should take skis to work on Monday, or indeed tennis racquet snow shoes... could be an interesting commute on Monday, particularly for those of us who use public transport. Just hope I don't encounter any burst water mains on my trip to/from work - last time I did a coup...

Re: Google safety warnings on every site?

News is gradually beginning to filter through - if you do a Google news search on it: http://news.google.co.uk/news?hl=en&um=1&tab=wn&nolr=1&q=google+harm Nothing reported on the TV networks yet (Sky/BBC) - although they probably are aware of it... I'd expect something soon if they t...

Re: Own-brand Cola

Ahh, curiosity cola. I keep seeing it but wasn't curious enough to buy it. I've been put off organic colas generally though after some other organic cola I tried which tasted like fruit punch with added yuk. Would that have been Whole Earth Cola? http://www.alcoholfree.co.uk/images/organic-cola.jpg...

Re: Own-brand Cola

Has anyone here ever tried the Fentiman's cola? http://www.fentimans.com/ I get it at every opportunity I can - only place local to me I can seem to get it is Tesco at Ealing Broadway (although Morrisons near me have started selling their giner beer) The "botanically brewed" cola is quite ...
