Re: What do you use?
I find that Microsoft Security Essentials does the job perfectly. AVG used to be my choice, but even that is now as bloated and useless as Norton and McAfee.

Re: What do you use?
For Internet I use Google Chrome - I tried Firefox 4 for the whole of yesterday and in comparison it's incredibly clunky and slow. Image editing I use Adobe Photoshop, and for designing/logos etc. I use Adobe Fireworks. Surprisingly versatile and easy to use program! WMP 12 seems to cover most audio...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
JK08 getting upset at someone politely complaining about his rush mock. Don't say that! I suggested that JK08 was male, as are most members and 'it' took serious offence to it! So god knows if it's a guy or girl, seeing as they didn't say. Either way, 'it' needs to leave, because all 'it' does is c...

Re: Windows 7 Service Pack 1
Have you tried rolling back to the standard Windows Update drivers for the graphics card and then installing SP1? If that works you could reinstall the ATI drivers afterwards.

Re: Twitter
I got myself a personal one yesterday reluctantly - thinking exactly the same as you. But it's not quite as bad as it seems. It depends on whether you have a bunch of friends to follow and communicate with, or whether you just plan on stalking celebrities and their goings on. With friends, it's quit...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
His response to constructive suggestions for one of the mocks he made - 'No, I don't like them! I want it blue, yellow is horrible!' ..

The Americans and the Brits
Just flicking around channels - it's amazing how vile so many American shows starring British people are - and the stereotype that follows it is even worse. The American version of Hell's Kitchen was just on - and one of the chefs didn't serve Gordon Ramsay's family quick enough, resulting in him sh...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
The Lays crisps are definately the same as ours in France (the flavours we share with them anyway, they have a much wider range) - they even have the old Barbeque flavour that I used to love that was replaced with BBQ Rib - I can't resist buying a couple of packets when I go!

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
There's something fascinating about shuttered purpose-built American Fast Food outlets. The only one I can bring to mind that I've seen (in Britain) is the McDonalds which was shaped like a space ship by the A1 near Peterborough. Now that was something special! They occupy the same portion of my fa...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Yes, the Burger King closed a good few months ago - and yes, I only ever went in twice and both times I had plenty of trouble from the staff. It sat derelict for a while with the chairs and serving area still there but it seems they've taken all that out now and painted it white with bare concrete f...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Sheffield was the first Wilkinson to carry the new branding, I think in October 2008. Sheffield also has the last shop to open with the old branding on their London Road branch. It was a trial store a long with a couple of others in other cities - and it had a full refurb inside too, including new ...
