Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

There was someone being interviewed on the news earlier about it, and how she has brain fog and feels tired all the time etc, and I couldn’t help but wonder if it was just the consequences of an unhealthy lifestyle that she was describing. Am I a bad person for thinking that? It’s not a criticism o...

Re: Govt/NHS Digital plan to share patient data

I’m not particularly savvy with stuff like this. We’re assured that data will be anonymous - if so what’s the issue? I've read several reports that it will be incredibly easy to deanonymise the data. Groups of GPs are campaigning against this sharing, partly on these grounds. https://www.theguardia...

Govt/NHS Digital plan to share patient data

Guardian article on the plan: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/may/30/gps-warn-plans-share-patient-data-third-parties-england More info about opting out: https...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Derby's shopping centre, formerly Westfield and Intu is undergoing a name change and rebrand. I was fully expecting them to revert to the pre-westfield name of 'Eagle Centre' but the new owners have gone a bit left field with DERBION. The logo reminds me of a certain ITV region's idents in the late...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

The Nottingham one is similarly disorienting, uneven levels with short sets of steps everywhere, quite easy to find that you're on a completely different floor to the one you thought you were on. Beautiful exterior but not a pleasant shop at all. It'll make a great hotel I hope. The Hotel Californi...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

That's not an easy decision, despite what people on both sides claim, and the value judgment involved makes me believe it should be put to a referendum as to which side of this balance policy should skew. Agree with a lot of what you say, but a referendum? Seriously? One of them has never ended up ...
