Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

A friend of mine posted this article on Facebook earlier - don't bother reading it, it's bollocks - but my interest was piqued because it uses what I'm sure is a (pretty shite) TVF mock for its main image. How on earth do researchers find these things, rather than using - I don't know - the real BBC...

Re: Digital Spy Watch News and Information Board

The survey that they are prompting you to take regarding a redesign of the site has to be seen to be believed. After the usual questions about what you like and dislike about DS, there is a drag-and-drop interface and you are asked to sort over 50 top-level headings into a user interface tree. There...

Re: Baffling local news stories

So, get this. Two transgender men (now women) are getting married (having fallen in love as men, and now both had a sex change) - and one only has twelve months to live. But the wedding can't take place, as they haven't got any rings. You couldn't make it up... http://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/11...

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

It's brave of Quidco to go down the resung Sexbomb route - Howard from the Halifax's rendition of the song in an ad-related context will take a lot to be beaten...

Re: YouTube Shenanigans

What's your concern? Well, having seen a long Facebook conversation between several artists/composers who were concerned about their music appearing on YouTube without their permission or knowledge I had a look at who had been uploading them and couldn't work it out. Hence, I thought the good peopl...

Re: YouTube Shenanigans

Thanks for your input. The more I think about this, the more I think that YouTube must have done a deal with various labels to have done this. The label that I am involved with do feature on Spotify, for example, so it is not out of this world to think that they might have also done a deal with YouT...

YouTube Shenanigans

I have noticed a proliferation of automatically generated videos on YouTube of recently released classical music CDs. I feature on a couple of these (but not as the principal artist!) and a number of my friends and colleagues are wondering where these have come from. An example is this video: https:...

I don't think burning effigies is ever helpful and was stunned to see the list of all the previous people they have burned effigies of (David Cameron, Nick Clegg, Osama Bin Laden). Give me an evening with fireworks over this hate-inspiring tripe any day!

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

The phones4u store in Wells has also opened as an EE store already. Incidentally, next to the town's Vodafone store. I hadn't ever been inside it when it was phones4u, so can't comment on the fittings too closely, but the whole store looks pretty 'on-brand', painted in the EE blue and grey. There wa...
