Re: Yet another Morrisons thread
Has anyone seen the new Morrisons Catalina vouchers? They're the same as Sainsbury's, but without the loyalty card.
I haven't had a chance to have a look in-store, but they do seem to be useless after a big shop (£5.50 off your next £125 shop). They do look nicer than the Sainsbury's ones, however.

Re: Will the UK ever adopt DAB+?
If I want dependable, good quality radio on the go, there's FM. If I want digital sound, there's internet streaming. Yorkshire Coast Radio cottoned onto that fact. I don't know anyone who uses DAB. EDIT: I think DAB is especially useless at home, as all the TVs can tune into the radio channels. I co...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
I'm not being a snob. On the specific question of 'one member's quest to get total accuracy on the days that changes happened 30 odd years ago in another part of the country', I said that it comes across to me as a massive effort - as a full time research. Of course as an enthusiast, its good to ha...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
Some real snobbery going on in here. TV Forum is a presentation forum and independent research in to presentation can only be a good thing. I've always wondered about the Central 80s idents myself, granted not enough to research it myself but I appreciate it nonetheless. If somebody has a lot of ti...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
I agree with both you and Gav here, it is a lot of time he's exerting into it, smacks very much of nothing better to do, but nobody's perfect! Off on a tangent but I notice a large proportion of TVF seem to be out of work - this could simply be them making no reference to it - a lot also seem to be...

Re: The Coffee Thread
Lately I've been enjoying Lost Edinburgh (a group on Facebook) which features lots of pictures showing just how many Tearooms there used to be in the city. From the comments, one would conclude that an awful lot more was served than scones and jam. But one way or another I suppose it all stems back...

Re: The Coffee Thread
Is there a reason why none of these places, with their no doubt weeks of intensive training that must surely be required to become a "barista", can make an acceptable cup of tea? It's like getting a coffee in a Tea Room, I suppose. I always thought Tea Room referred to the meal rather tha...
