I've used Pendolino, as they're used on the West Coast Mainline, got it from Warrington to London, I was quite impressed, as said the tilt is odd at first but you get used to it. On the way to London we got there about 5 minutes early They do that on purpose, they add extra time in the timetable so...

The only Virgin Trains we get here in Yorkshire are Voyagers that are generally massively overcrowded as they only operate with 4-5 carriages, so that spoils the effect really. GNER seem to have the better idea, their trains may be older but they are being refurbished and operate with a decent numbe...

We appeared to be the only local store that actually bovvarred to decorated. Gala certainly hadn't. What about elsewhere in the country? There was none of that business at the Huddersfield branch. I'm surprised some local youths didn't rip those 'bin bags' down. So have them new touch screen tills ...

I'm not going to be too hard on Joe, specifically, for reasons you either understand or I won't bother you with. Some of the other illiterates are REALLY GETTING UP MY NOSE, however. Sorry but he's not the first sufferer of cancer in the world. I understand the position the fella's in is granted a ...

There seems to be a range of annoying people signed up to TV Forum in the last few weeks. You can tell the school holidays have started in some areas. What I can't understand is why people still reply and debate the points in depth when one of these posters starts a badly written thread on a subject...

Rather bizarrely West Yorkshire seems to have its own unofficial Bank Holiday. It's on the Tuesday after one of the May Bank Holidays (can't remember which one) when a lot of workers get the day off. Here in North Yorkshire you can always guarantee the A64 will be stuffed with 'Wessies' heading off...

We certainly need one in that long, long drag from August to Christmas. I think October 25th, or thereabouts, would be excellent. Indeed, what with the 2 at Easter, then May Day and then a few weeks later Spring Bank. Most of our non-Christmas bank holidays are within 2 months. I believe we have th...

in fairness to posting tv related threads here, (specifically the emma bell post) new user registrations have been disabled for months at the other place, so what are genuine users who wish to contribute to do? it seems barmy to me. Use Digital Spy? Which is where mostl new users seem to come from ...
