I wonder how that will work with Pepsi Max - it'd be a shame to see that name dropped for (what looks to be a rather bland) Zero Sugar.

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

In the latest news on the "battle" against the "websnatchers", apparently it's necessary to upload audio in low quality and add hiss to it. https://pres.cafe/showthread.php?tid=380&pid=23160#pid23160 What is the point of all this rigmarole, especially as it doesn't actually s...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

Could that be to protect against different default cards across different devices, or inadvertently using a different card on your device to the physical one you have?

It would take a lot of effort to produce such an accurate replica of Tumble Tower's contributions.

They're down from the peak price it seems - 30 Birds Eye Cod Fingers were up to about £8.60 at one point, I seem to recall.

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

It does seem that good sense is winning out on the whole - even with a certain right-wing member pretending that they're not right-wing and not defending Neil Oliver.

Re: The Co-op Thread

Co-op stores are currently doing a 'Spin-to-Win' promotion through the shopping app. What a palaver to redeem the winning voucher via self service. The till recognises it as a coupon and then asks for the coupon to go in the slot. Which you can't do as it's a QR code sent via email. In the end I wa...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

The main attraction of Paperchase were the decent prices after Christmas. I've got a fair few discounted rolls from January.

Their paper is still better than supermarket fare, but I'm a big fan of Clairefontaine wrapping paper for something strong and dependable.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

Yes, I will miss them if they go, they are useful - perhaps even more so than Woollies were. I don't know if it's the whole story but there was a period a few years ago when the shelves at Wilko were very bare - perhaps an attempt to reduce stock holding to free up capital which went badly wrong? Re: Shops with excessive tannoy announcements

The Lidl system is particularly pleasant because the announcements are pre-recorded and high quality - and incredibly rare in a Lidl branch with self-service tills. B&M seems to vary from branch to branch, in my experience. Once new branch I've visited a few times had few announcements, but slig...
