Re: There an election this year.....
People definitely want change - in all parts of the UK. The question is do they want that change to be to a Labour majority government? I don't think that is a nailed down certainty yet. I feel like Keir Starmer is a competent bloke, but unknowable. I couldn't tell you what he stands for, because h...

Re: There an election this year.....
Funnily enough, I studied Politics at University, so looking at it all from this perspective, there are going to be some things I would be interested in seeing: 1. Turnout- Last election, Turnout was 67.3%, which while lower than 2017, I would call an anomolous drop, given how close both elections w...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread
I don't get why the central London McDonald's have delivery drivers, surely there's enough locations elsewhere that can cater. I know Chipotle uses dark kitchens so it wouldn't be surprise me if McDonald's does decide to use them more often. I've been arguing that for the last couple of years actua...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
I forgot that March had started, but for anyone who remembers it means we're now at the point three years ago Asa posted his closure announcement on TV Forum after 20 years in which he said: I don't often subscribe to the 'things were better in the old days' mantra but I do think there's been an in...

Re: The Technology Thread
Over in the Android world, last time I replaced my phone a few years ago I opted for an S10 even though the S20 and S21 had both been released by then. Mainly because I really wanted to keep a 3.5mm audio jack and and the S10 was still better than any then new Samsung handset which had one and at t...

I'm sick of seeing Albert Einstein promoting Smart Meters. Yes, he researched Mass-Energy Equivalence, but he did more than that

The last time I saw a The Body Shop and it actually registered in my consciousness was when I was in Seoul a few years back - but it was in Myeong-dong, which is home of many a flagship cosmetics shop, so it was a particularly big and swanky one. I guess Lush has supplanted it as a home-grown eco-c...

Ditching Spotify for me. I like Spotify, it's a decent service, but I have all the music i listen to downloaded or on physical media. I use my old phone as an Music player, and it just sounds better.

Well, I figured I would 'sign up' to see the hubbub, but this is perhaps one of the worst sign up processes that I have seen in my life. 'Ask for my parent/guardian's permission'? Send an email to whom? Guys, this is just ludicrous.
