Re: Brexit
What a completely embarrassing shambles. It'll be very interesting to see what the next few days brings - I cannot see a path forward that won't result in a large proportion of Parliament and the public being dissatisfied. The EU are being pretty firm that they will not negotiate further.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
They've given Debenhams a pretty comprehensive makeover in Meadowhall with the new branding and it's looking very smart. It was never the worst Debenhams store in the first place so I assume it's a decent money maker for them for them to be investing in it. They've installed grey ceilings and spotli...

Re: Brexit
A little off-topic - but I do find it depressing the way that the public feels increasingly divided, not just about Brexit but politics in general. For example - we have increasing numbers of extremist idiots from either side of an argument on social media, who pounce on the slightest news and use i...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread
Not that long ago I came across this McDonalds in London stuck in a time warp: https://goo.gl/maps/RpiEJofRTbP2 It's been refurbished in the last few months (it was certainly still in its original state in May 2017) but this is the only restaurant I've come across in many years that's still missing ...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread
It's also been put in a couple of newly refurbed McDs here in Sheffield. Works far better than the zones because you don't have to try and work out which zone has spaces first and then dash over to the table. That and it's much easier for the staff to find you. The only weird thing is there seems t...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread
That looks naff. Who goes into their bank for all that junk - and do they really think they're going to attract people in from Oxford Street with that lot, least of all convert them to Halifax? I think your average person is with a bank A) because they always been with them, B) because they had the ...

Re: The Co-op Thread
The national group is now allowing MRH to open stores using the actual Co-op brand . I wonder if all those 'Welcome' stores will become Co-ops (if not co-operative Co-ops) in time. So weird that you should use that link - that particular ESSO/Co-Op branch (for a reason I still cannot fathom) became...

Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10
I've had 10 from the launch and find it absolutely fine - performance is better than on 7 and the UI is vastly better than 8/8.1. I'm not so keen on the way it forces updates on you (especially when it breaks older hardware) or the default settings on sending feedback to MS - that at least can be ch...
