The Tesco I've got the power advert is infuriating. Goes on far too long. Repeats too often. Awful.
It's a shame because I really liked their weird Christmas adverts last year.

Re: With all the recent inflationary price rises, is there stuff you just won’t pay for now?
Do you feel any real world benefit from gigabit speeds? I'm doing my annual ISP swap shortly and I'm currently debating between Sky 145Mb @ £22.39/month or Sky 500Mb @ £23.89/month (both effective prices after cashback). yes... although there's part of me that wonders if its the wifi 6 rather than ...

Virgin Media, waited for the contract to *actually* expire then had a proper go at them. The CityFibre rollout means they can no longer call my bluff on moving to Sky "you'll be happy with 34mb will you?" Now have gigabit and still (some) tv for £45. And the Superhub 5 is actually decent e...

Okay, I know Pete's told you all over on the secret forum to put me on ignore. That's fine. I know you don't like it when anyone disrupts your delicate little clique. But is it that difficult to at least listen to an outsider? It's okay. I know where I stand. Bye for now. Xxx. I didn't actually rea...

Re: The rise of the dodgy shop
What about those makeshift launderettes, which are just an unstaffed former fish bar with a couple of coin-ops plonked inside. are these not encouraged by the videos on tiktok that imply you make a fortune from coin operated laundrettes despite the fact its all american and based either in new york...

And before anyone asks, I've only joined to protect my username and see the user list. I did the same thing for the same reasons. I do love how obvious the spam bots are, nearly all have a website that offers for sale Viagra and Cialis, and live in different regions for some reason... I take it Pet...

Re: Fragrances
on the subject of fragrances, are the harrods beauty stores something elsewhere or just in Edinburgh? I thought it was the lessees from the debenhams beauty hall clubbing together to get a location in St James's Centre.
I appreciate I could google but i didn't. so there.

Multiroom comes to BBC Sounds on Alexa
Seemingly 10 million years after we lost it when the BBC pulled their stations from tunein, and although there was a always a workaround, they've finally brought multiroom to BBC Sounds. Although typically you've got to ask in a convoluted way. https://radiotoday.co.uk/2023/11/bbc-sounds-enables-mul...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread
apparently they've finally updated their ancient banking app so you don't need the stupid wee calculator card reader to send tiny amounts of money any more. i'm a shameless "oh i'll sort the bill" person on nights out (I want the Amex points) but there was always one colleague who used pay...

Darlington is apparently in a similar situation, and the store's closure has lead to the car park temporarily closing until the lifts can be locked out of use: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tees-66897703 Both ex. Presto stores. Darlington is different to North Shields though, the lifts are ...
