Re: Teeth
My new dentist always tells me to keep up the flossing. I have never flossed in my life, so they must be in good shape! Currently waiting (very patiently) for my wisdom teeth to come through before I can finally have my wonky lower set fixed. One wisdom tooth is half way out, the other is yet to mak...

A: I've seen someone self-immolate before
B: What?
A: Spontaneously combust.

Re: Things people today find acceptable but which are not.
To be honest, I'm confused about what the topic of the thread is supposed to be. Marksi said "I'm not complaining here about the content" so I assumed he must be complaining about the spelling and grammar, particularly as his favourite example was the worst for it. But I'm not sure now...

Re: Things people today find acceptable but which are not.
Did I say she was less of a person for using shorthand? No; I said it bemused me.

I don't.Ronnie Rowlands wrote:I know plenty of intelligent, thoughtful people who use unsightly shorthand. Why think any less of someone for using it?

I tend to do more sending than receiving these days anyway.
