Re: Non widescreen monitors
It still needs interpretation by legal professionals for it to be understood down to the fine details, No it doesn't. So is that why statutory interpretation is a constant problem for judges? The Equality Act will contain sections that are ambiguous, and I doubt that the man on the street would und...

Re: Non widescreen monitors
I've no idea how to respond to that imbecilic, incongruous suggestion. Excuse me? It's a 4:3 19" LCD monitor, which is what the OP wanted... Chortle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non_sequitur CONTENTS Bilky. You don't need to read all 251 pages including the chapters about race, gender, pregnan...

Re: Non widescreen monitors
I'm not overly comfortable with using eBay for work purposes - we have done so for lower value items such as phone chargers etc. Also we need a solution that is likely to remain available later when other decisions have been finalised. http://www.sitebox.ltd.uk/product/y3k_CCM19LCD/-19-lcd-pc-monit...

Re: Non widescreen monitors
I know of a certain place, with a similar problem to you, who just set the existing monitor to 800x640 and tell the complaining individual to shut the phuque up moaning. That might not quite be the terribly left wing, PC, solution, however. It does, just, satisfy the Disability Act though, as you'v...

Re: Non widescreen monitors
Does anyone know of a retailer (ideally online) selling non widescreen monitors in sizes beyond 19" - a TV with VGA input or at a push HDMI (though why would one exist) would also do the trick. If truth be told, since widescreen became the norm, it's almost impossible to find anything that isn...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
Just in case the three wise monkeys in charge of TVF take offense at my riposte to Tumbly Wumbly and delete it and me, I'll reproduce it here for posterity: What a pointless waste of time wanting ITV1+1. When I was a kid you didn't have Westward + 1, Southern + 1, HTV + 1, ATV + 1, Grampian + 1 etc...

Re: Question for you Firefox People
This isn't an old problem, it's only started happening in the latest version, 3.6.12. All the previous versions displayed the page perfectly correctly. It's a change they've introduced in 3.6.12 which has suddenly caused the problem. Looking at Mozilla's site, the only changes are a security issue,...

Ah! If a page hasn't set the font using the CSS @font-face, Firefox won't display it properly, as far as I can tell.Nick Harvey wrote:Set in a number of web pages.
I don't know if anyone else can shed light on this.

Re: Question for you Firefox People
Is this a font that you have set in a webpage, or is it where you've set the browser's default rendering font?Nick Harvey wrote:It's a .ttf, which as I understand it, ought to be okay.

Re: Serious faeces/fan interface going down in Ireland
now Brussels are telling Ireland to cut their minimum wage in return for a much-needed loan. It is absolutely sickening to watch and we I'm a bit confused, as you never liked the minimum wage, and making Eire cutting ( For one of EU highest ) could actully help the.. it would still be around 7 euro...
