Hasn't Broadmarsh in Nottingham been on the verge of refurbishment/rebuilding for about a decade, hence why Argos may not be bothering to refurb their store? The interior and what was the Elizabeth Duke counter is also equally dated. At least for the last six years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bro...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Well it's not who owned them before the merger - the big Lloyds TSB on George Street, Hull seems to be staying a Lloyds but was originally a TSB.

Re: Crisps

Yeah, I only ever seem to be able to find them in Home Bargains. And they don't have the full range - they never have Salt and Vinegar for example.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Which features have gone? I don't think there's a real risk of any court requiring HBOS to be split off, is there? That would leave Lloyds with a similar number of branches to Yorkshire Bank! And just to prove how small YB is, Yorkshire Bank isn't even that company's main trading name. Yorkshire Ba...

Re: 'Windows 8.1'

But now they have actually have a product officially called 'Windows 8.1'. There is no way that can be argued to be a brand-named version of windows as a way of avoiding a differing internal version number, '8.1' *is* a version number...except it's not because it's still NT 6.2! Only Microsoft coul...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Stead & Simpson was purchased out of administration in 2008 . The same group purchased Shoefayre from The Co-operative Group the previous year. I remember their rebranded it into a new green frontage a few years ago, but to just close it down and then move to a brand new shop seems strange. Has...

They also own Halifax and Bank of Scotland. I wonder what's happening with them?
