Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

In a similar vein, the Halifax adverts do my nut in too. What is it with companies at the moment slaughtering good classics with their army of staff/actors? Some of the songs are rather ironic - "I'll be there" - err, only if you're credit worthy or fit our profile!? I'm sure those that ar...

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

Okay, there's something really wrong about the current Go Compare advert. Whilst the previous adverts have been at least British-looking/feeling (apart from the spaceship one), this current advert just looks like an American advert from the 90s. Gimmicky effects, a pretty stupid theme, and makes th...

Re: The *OFFICIAL* Asda thread

On a related note, has anyone else's Tesco got the new style touch screen tills? We have 8 branches in Dunders but only one (the fabbest naturally) has these new tills whereas all the others retain the classic ones with the big blue clackity enter button. Yes, our local one at Addlestone has these ...

Re: whyPhone?

The one thing that I miss about WebOS is the notification system. The pop-up notifications on iOS are absolutely awful. WebOS handles notifications absolutely beautifully, far better than any other mobile OS currently on the market I've heard that about iPhones before, what doesn't iOS do with its ...

Re: LimeWire finally out of limes

Re: The finest sausage rolls in all the land

The shop on campus at Kent Uni makes some of the very best sausage rolls and cheese/bacon turnovers that I've ever had.

Greggs is pretty nasty, their sausage rolls far too salty for my liking, it's like they've stuck a whole salt shaker on top.

Re: In-store music

Matalan has awful covers, I had the misfortune of having to be in there for a few hours last week.

Who does the music for Starbucks? They do have some very nice tracks playing in there sometimes.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

I've also noticed how quick people (especially the 'newer' members) are to jump on one another for various reasons, including not posting on a generic thread for something that might be worthy of merit, and not buried deep in page 54041582102 of the generic thread. I don't post to TVF much anymore, ...
