Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

The faux outrage from certain posters every time restrictions are either tightened or loosened is starting to get on my nerves! It's just virtue signalling from certain people.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

I've never quite understood the love affair that TV Forum has for Alastair Stewart. To me he was always smug and a bit too self important. For me it was overdue that he left.

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

Starbucks UK accepting own cups from today, according to their social channels. Expect some issues though. Apparently it doesn’t apply in all stores. Equally a large number of stores aren’t even open yet so expect some people to turn up with their favourite cup to find their local store closed!

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

This ‘Donald Trump bans media from nomination’ thread by Ne1LC is surely one of the oddest ever, with precious little relevance to TV presentation!

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Whilst there’s way more posts on the site than there would usually be there seems to be fewer posters who simply post a lot of stuff! It’s not just the Newsroom where debate is between a handful of posters, it seems to be like that across the whole site.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Rather unpleasant reaction from some posters in the Coronavirus news thread to thousands of people’s holiday plans being ruined. Not a good look at all.

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

I was in Dublin for a few days last week and I'd say about 30% of people I saw were wearing a mask, they only became compulsory in Ireland yesterday (on public transport last week). Mitigating this was better enforcement of social distancing in shops. Whilst some bars and restaurants were open you a...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

The desire to watch the footage of Tommy Cooper die on television seems to be a rite of passage that many new Tv Forumers feel the need to go through. There seems to be a thread dedicated to this every year or so!

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

People holding out hope for a vaccine to be developed quickly, even this year, is ridiculous. Edward Jenner invented the vaccine for smallpox in 1798 and smallpox wasn’t declared eradicated until the early 21st century. I know medicine has moved on and it’s not a fair comparison but vaccines still t...
