Re: Metropol 24/7

Haha! No, well you need to have been lurking around this corner of the internet since at least the summer of 2001. I wonder what happened to Ian Scrounger and Hedgehog Online? It was going to be this big amazing website, but nothing ever came of it. EDIT: I've just been to hedgehogonline.com and th...

What is it with most of the people who post on TVF forum being fat, wear horrible glasses and have very odd voices. I couldn't watch that video to the end as I felt a bit sick. That video makes my skin craw...

Re: Please place the item on the belt

I find that ones at Tesco tend to be the worst, with their constant bellowings of "unexpected item in bagging area" when you try and place your other shopping on there momentarily whilst you fiddle to get your cards out of your wallet. At least 3 times in different branches and occasions, ...

Re: Return of the Undeletable File

I don't think this is a way to change where the files are extracted to; I suspect it's a Windows thing. In my experience, it chooses a random drive where it has lots of room and then decides to extract the files there, using a random folder name.

Re: Return of the Undeletable File

Those are all created by Windows Updates being applied to your machine.

Re: ISP help?

I recently left Pipex after many years, and despite the pain in the arse at the beginning (i.e. having the hassle to change email address etc) but am now on ADSL24, which, so far isn't too bad.

Re: Windows XP Service Pack 3

I wouldn't touch it unless it was really necessary. I'm one of the types who subscribes to the philosophy of 'not fixing it unless it's broke'. After having recently shoved on SP2 to enable me to install Photoshop CS3 (PS install was moaning that you couldn't install unless you had SP2) I would rath...

Re: Muscial shames

McFly's greatest hits (snigger). Despite their outlandish claims on the sticker of the promo releases (which I get) it wasn't enough to put me off. I love a bit 'o pure cheesy pop, especially "The Heart Never Lies".

Re: Windows Vista Question

Why does OGA irritate you - it only stops you from using templates (all crap) and getting updates (all unnecessary for anything other than an OS)...? I might happen to want templates, and clipart, and updates to the spam filters and bug fixes. And I might actually quite like the smug little feeling...

Morrisons could have easily kept BOTH brands for the stores and developed a tertiary brand for own products that would be stocked in either. Dixons/Currys/Mitsui as an example. Familiarity would have been retained throughout the country then. This is what I don't understand, Something like M&S ...
