Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
We have a similar thing here in Sheffield. We had a branch of Abbey, a branch of Bradford and Bingley, and a branch of Alliance and Leicester. All of them are now Santander, but two branches are literally opposite each other across the tramlines on the high street, and the other is just a little fur...

Re: Riots
I am alarmed and saddened by the events around the country these last few days. I am ashamed of some of my fellow countrymen. we are not and will never be an Anarchic state. FFS this is England not Syria. At least the Syrians have a reason to protest ( they don't have a currys to loot). I am so fuc...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Also, not exactly high street, but Coffee Nation who run those awful instant coffee vending machines in service stations have been bought up by Whitbread and will be rebranded as Costa Express ; a great plan in my eyes because Costa is seen as a much more premium brand. They also want to effectivel...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread
How much do these eSELs actually cost to buy each? I'm imagining at least £5/£10, which could lead to thousands of pounds per store!

Re: Samsung Galaxy S II v iPhone 4
Nobody is sure what to expect on the new iPhone - but I would wholeheartedly recommend the Samsung. I've currently got the LG Optimus One which is hardly the most powerful or exciting Android phone but it runs games such as Angry Birds and Doodle Jump, and other more productive apps without a hitch ...

Re: The *OFFICIAL* Asda thread
Sheffield Queens Road is my nearest supermarket from next month, so I am happy. Just got rejected for a 16h/pw job there, not my proudest moment  It amazes me considering some of the brain-dead people who I've seen working at ASDAs in the past.. I have applied for a job at Asda four times over...

Re: Franchises
You could always set up a milkshake bar with just some blenders from Argos and ingredients from Tesco. Must be the lowest cost start up possible. Companies have opened a couple of cheapo car parks on old pieces of factory land here in Sheffield, with no tarmac, just rubble ground - all day parking ...
