Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
It does seem that good sense is winning out on the whole - even with a certain right-wing member pretending that they're not right-wing and not defending Neil Oliver.

Re: The Co-op Thread
Co-op stores are currently doing a 'Spin-to-Win' promotion through the shopping app. What a palaver to redeem the winning voucher via self service. The till recognises it as a coupon and then asks for the coupon to go in the slot. Which you can't do as it's a QR code sent via email. In the end I wa...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
The main attraction of Paperchase were the decent prices after Christmas. I've got a fair few discounted rolls from January.
Their paper is still better than supermarket fare, but I'm a big fan of Clairefontaine wrapping paper for something strong and dependable.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
Yes, I will miss them if they go, they are useful - perhaps even more so than Woollies were. Re: Shops with excessive tannoy announcements
The Lidl system is particularly pleasant because the announcements are pre-recorded and high quality - and incredibly rare in a Lidl branch with self-service tills. B&M seems to vary from branch to branch, in my experience. Once new branch I've visited a few times had few announcements, but slig...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
Another misery thread for the new ITN branding. Honestly think some posters would rather everything still looked how it did in the 80s. I take it that Pres Cafe is slowly looming towards its premature end? It wouldn't be much of a discussion forum if everyone agreed that everything was great. Hardl...
