Weird bug with JS self scans that. Press "go back" after subtotal, then it works it out.Sput wrote:Tsk at the self serve checkout not showing the correctly reduced price for two baked products until it was actually giving me the change. I almost aborted the whole transaction in RAGE.

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
TU clothing has been going for years now, although it took a while to get the full range in to some stores. It's good stuff, but I never buy unless there's a 25% off event on (which there generally is every coupl'a months). Before TU, they had a range from Jeff Banks in an even smaller selection of ...

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
Just out of interest - when there is one of these X for £X deals like in the link there, where it would end up actually being more expensive, what would the till do? Would it charge the lower price of just the single items, or would it charge the higher price of the 'special' offer? Trading standar...

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
1.5 (£1.50 still seems like a lot for Pringles in my head) * 1.2 = 1.8, not 2.5, okay so inflation is bad at the moment but not that bad!

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
I was in Tesco earlier, and I noticed they had a buy one get one free offer on Pringles. How exciting, I hear you cry. Well, the price of a tube of Pringles was £2.49. Isn't that pretty much double what they usually are? Or has inflation soared higher than I'd noticed? Pringles crept up in price ov...

Re: English only:
Incidentally (and I realise I'm taking this topic wildly OT, for which I apologise) the freshly refurbished 158s (originally built 1988-91) have powerpoints at every seat; yet these don't. I thought they were just at tables? Will have to confirm next time I'm put on one (stuck on the usual 175 and ...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
The wooden cladding over the counters is being rolled out to most stores. The only exceptions are stores that haven't had a refit in a number of years, ie the ones that still have the dark blue walls, as the cost of updating the counter area is greater than the amount of money the improved counters...

Well you were discussing the subsidisation of Public Transport in Yorkshire (SYPTE and WYPTE) and Tyneside (TWPTE) - so I'd say it had everything to do with them and/or their behaviour.barcode wrote:That post was never about Passenger Transport Executives.

Re: English only:
The "WAG Express" is a train service which nobody wants and nobody uses. But the WAG think it's something that people want, so they subsidise it with a ridiculous amount of money which could be better spent elsewhere. It's not quite fresh air, nor is it 5 carriages (it's one first class p...

Re: English only:
The way some little Englanders talk its as if Scot and Wales don't pay taxes. I know all business rates get lumped into one big pool and then distributed around the country,. I have no issue we are all Brits and we should look after our own first. If that means Scotland gets something England dosen...
