Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Oooh, something's happening over at the other place - that's not your average site outage holding slide!

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Why HAS Newsroom got such a bee in his bonnet over having received a warning? He's made another thread today which basically amounts to 'the people have a right to know' when it comes to a warning/ban. He seems to think as he's a longstanding member he's above getting warned, and to be fair it can't...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region

That's the idea of using generic TOC names to prevent having to go through a massive rebrand every time the franchise changes out the window then?!

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

Apologies if I've missed it being mentioned already but Sainsbury's have been pushing Nectar (using the updated branding) heavily in stores this week, and with a new app too. Interestingly, the app provides a barcode to scan your card in-store (much like Tesco has done with Clubcard for AGES), and t...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

Is it just me or are pretty much all Sainsbury's Local stores looking tired and a bit unloved these days? Unlike Tesco I've not really seen many attempts to refit stores beyond the kit they got when they opened, and as a result there's a right old mix of shopfronts around - a ex-Central store near m...

New look for Taste the Difference https://www.thegrocer.co.uk/own-label/sainsburys-taste-the-difference-gets-brand-revamp/593875.article Not very often it happens but we broke this before The Grocer did! Looks like a Taste the Difference rebrand is imminent: https://up.metropol247.co.uk/Critique/2C...

Looks quite nice but I do wonder if it suffers from the same issue that the o...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Crikey, not every day a long-time member has the banhammer wielded on them! I sort of don't believe it's permanent - I suppose there was that weird spat where he was going round berating other members without good reason but I didn't think that would lead to his demise!

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Very quickly deleted by the mods but quite a revealing slip of the mask from the user 'Newsroom' tonight, after Cando joked that Newsroom might fancy the BBC's Ben Thompson... I believe Newsroom called Cando a moron in reply and questioned why ON EARTH Cando would suggest he was gay! Just a little i...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

Sainsbury's stores in general seem to be much more tired in general IMO. Locals seem to get their original fit-out and then are left as-is for a very long time - have seen plenty of old fascias knocking about (although this is true too, albeit to a lesser extent I think, for Tesco) and inside stores...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

I still find the voice on the Tesco self service checkouts really bizarre - he has the nasally voice of someone from a cheesy regional radio advert. Even weirder are the things he says like "Find your item, or have a browse" - because of course you're going to have a browse of what you fa...
