Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
In regards to the strikes, it is interesting that you don't see other unions vilified by the press in the same way as the RMT and I wonder if the RMT has an image problem to a degree.

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
I admit I do enjoy this thread because it's harmless observations of members who are a bit annoying.

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
Also wasn't long before the 'they should simply axe the services I don't use' crowd turned up, which is always fun. The notion that they should cut EastEnders episodes by 75% to save the BBC News channel did make me laugh - surely got to be up there in the TVF/TVLF hall of fame of insane ideas that...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
According to TJTSW Channel 5 should allow the BBC to show the final episode of Neighbours at the same time, on the basis that it was first shown on BBC One. https://www.tvliveforum.com/showthread.php?tid=960&pid=90248#pid90248 I'm sure Channel 5 would be willing to commit commercial suicide for...

I've always found it strange that BBC Radio 2 needs to have news and current affairs when that's covered by 5 Live.

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times
The media seem to be hyping the rise in Covid cases but surely given we've had various big events like Glastonbury, the Jubilee, Hoopla it doesn't really surprise me. I suspect the official response will be recommendation rather than enforcement.

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread
Natwest is taking their sweet time replacing cards at the moment, I have a debit card that is due to expire in August and a credit card in September and still have yet to receive the replacements. Weirdly, My Mum who has a card that wasn't due to expire for a few years has already got her Mastercard...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
The DfT and TfL tit for tat continues on. I wouldn't normally side with Grant Shapps but I do think the Mayor of London leaking the details of a three week funding extension is a bit daft.

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
Watching Sunday Morning (the formerly Marr one) I think Gordon Brown made a good point when interviewed about the need for a three year plan, not just one year. I dare say offering a pay increase of x% this year, y% the following year, and z% the year after may help with the pay side of things for ...
