Re: Another High Street Rebrand
This documentary by Iceland is an absolute belter for supermarket history enthusiasts. Loads of high quality archive material, thanks to Iceland's in-house archive collection. Very impressive and fascinating. https://youtu.be/7HdbUliH470 Huh, a non-red logo. I've never seen that blue one on the thu...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
Is it just me that thinks Chop Chop is a dreadful brand for that service. It's just as rude an expression as it is to snap your fingers at a waiter isn't it?

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
As much as I roll my eyes at some of the posts by new members, I think it's worth remembering some of the drivel we all posted when we first started. If there's anything I learned from the demise of TVF, it's how many people would lurk rather than post because they didn't want to be shot down for sa...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread
Morrisons: Supermarket agrees £6.3bn takeover Supermarket chain Morrisons has accepted a £6.3bn ($8.7bn) takeover bid by a US investment group led by the owner of Majestic Wines. Last month, the supermarket group turned down an offer from a different firm, saying it had significantly undervalued th...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
there are still businesses around which either don't take card or still have quite high minimum transaction levels (my local Chinese takeaway will not take a card below £15, with my regular order being slightly under that so I have to take cash out specially for them). I have never understood why c...

A 15:17 department store has opened in the former Topshop in Cardiff and it's actually not half bad. https://i2-prod.walesonline.co.uk/incoming/article20770896.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/1_rbp_mai080621shop7922JPG.jpg https://i2-prod.walesonline.co.uk/incoming/article20770888.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/0_rbp_mai...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread
Has anyone tried the "fake McDonalds" products from Aldi yet? The only one in our Aldi on sale is the big mac. I'm waiting on the McNuggets and Hash Browns. If they can do microwave fries and curry sauce like Maccies though I'll I'll all over that. Iceland also have fake McDonalds product...

Re: Currys PC World Dixons Carphone Warehouse Team Knowhow to become "Currys"
When the Knowhow brand was introduced I said it would make a good umbrella brand as it implies a degree of expertise rather than just a shop where they'll flog you anything without thought. However I feel that ship sailed a long time ago. Knowhow's probably tainted by dreadful customer service by now.

Re: The TSB & Lloyds Bank relaunch news and information board
Whenever I've seen a branch of TSB the signage looks worn and peeling off quite badly. The initial rebrand must have been a cheap job.

More than that, they've reformulated it and it honestly tastes like Panda Pops Cola now. I can't get my head around how they've made such a dreadful mistake. It tastes vile.scottishtv wrote: ↑Sun 11 Apr, 2021 20.57 I see Coke Zero has had a design alteration:
