Re: Russell Brand and Andrew Sachs's granddaughter

Still doesn't excuse Lesley Douglas' stupid 'Celebrity Radio' culture though, that she started with the appointment of Chris Evans at the expense of other more suited candidates. If the BBC wanted to give Brand an outlet on Radio, Radio One would have been the network. Radio Two isn't the place. An...

Re: Russell Brand and Andrew Sachs's granddaughter

Film 2008 with Jonathan Ross has just appeared on my screen. I shall be muting the Jonathan Ross bits in protest.

Re: Russell Brand and Andrew Sachs's granddaughter

I find this 'sack Brand and Ross' from certain people a bit over the top. I think the phone call was completely out of order (not because of swearing or whatever else, but because if I was Mr Sachs I would have been very upset by the comments about his granddaughter). However, I think that it is no...

Russell Brand and Andrew Sachs's granddaughter

Did anyone catch Jonathan Ross co-hosting Russell Brand's show on Radio 2 on Saturday? Not sure what you make of Russell's show - personally speaking, I like Russell's comedy but the radio show is hard work for me to survive, let alone enjoy, and how it's on Radio 2 I'll never know - but Saturday's ...

Wouldn't say it made me emotional but this song certainly makes me stop and listen:

Re: What the fuck is wrong with people?

This thread seems apt to ask whether anyone else experienced a whole day of everyone they met being in a terrible mood? I've never had anything like it. The highlight of the day was watching a stand up argument in the office which came to a head with the classic line, "Nigel, why are you such a...

Re: "Bristols top etiquette expert ..."

It would appear he's been elevated from Bristol's top etiquette expert to Britain's. You have to credit the guy with managing to make a living out of telling people in which hand to hold a fork. Anyone who gives Willy credit has to be a mental. Willy credit sounds like Metropol's equivalent of Club...

Re: "Bristols top etiquette expert ..."

There's no way of getting away from the guy. I have literally just tuned into Five Live for Stephen Nolan to greet me with an introduction to William Hanson. It would appear he's been elevated from Bristol's top etiquette expert to Britain's.

Re: Baffling local news stories

Not a newspaper but from the magical world of BBC Look East. I will always remember the lead story one night a few years back. A young Norfolk boy was nearly killed when for some reason his mother let him fill up their car at a petrol station and he managed to engulf himself in flames. However, trag...

Re: Buttons

Maybe something to do with numbers on touchtone telephones doubling up as letters, i.e. A/B/C for 1 or 2? But then logic presents the question, why are calculators the other way round? The answer is I do not know. I regret entering this problem.
