Re: Another High Street Rebrand

The Oneon sign on the picture there is cheeky. It's the Odeon logo, just with a letter changed.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Wilkinson has shortened it's name to Wilko. The branch my mum works at got new signage yesterday and a print advert in today's Sun newspaper only uses the shortened version of the name.

Re: When did Nick Clegg lose it?

The day the coalition was formed. As you say, they're supposed to be left leaning... so why did the Liberal Democrats get into bed with the right wing Conservatives instead of left wing Labour? That will have alienated their voters and they're going to be losing plenty of MPs come the next election.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

New, but not actually adopted as the company logo - the old one is still used in adverts. Someone posted about that on here last year. I think it might only be used on that one branch.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

TK Maxx is part of the US giant TJ Maxx so I doubt they'll be going anywhere. By that logic Borders and Best Buy should have been safe and sound - not that I reckon TKMaxx is at risk at this stage. Borders UK was no longer owned by it's US namesake when it closed. It was sold in 2007, closed in 200...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

Strange. Because I've checked since, and my local HMV definitely doesn't have that season 16 boxset. I'd normally have just assumed it was sold out, but if staff think it doesn't exist, they probably never had it in the first place. :?
