Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

That Microsoft ad which thankfully seems to have finished. The advert is built on the premise that the lady thinks her elderly computer is good enough. The advert doesn't explain at all how she is incorrect - the only thing that comes close is "one click - you're online" and about that &q...

Re: Vinyl

If I buy music (which I very, very rarely do, and then generally only when they're RIAA safe) I buy Vinyl.

Not because I appreciate the analogue medium (I must be tone deaf, can't tell the difference except the pops), but because I like the big artwork.

Just sod off if you haven't time. No need for faux apologies; you're under no compulsion to remain nor is a prissy resignation at all necessary.

Oh here we go. What is it with people on here and rage-quitting? It's such bullshit.

Re: News of the World rebrands.... sorry closes

Did anybody catch Brooks' solicitors statement? Seems incredibly misjudged given the circumstances.

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

How much do these eSELs actually cost to buy each? I'm imagining at least £5/£10, which could lead to thousands of pounds per store! But it eliminates the need for however many staff-hours per week/fortnight/month/year, might well quickly pay for itself (in theory at least!!). Even in the little Sa...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

They still look quite difficult to read, compared with paper ones anyway. Perhaps 'difficult' is the wrong word, but they're definitely not very clear. I'm guessing they'd need to be removed regularly to be recharged / have the batteries replaced? It does feel a bit like technology for the sake of ...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

I 'rescued' one of the Safeway eSELs the day before the store closed to make way for Morrisons. God knows what they did with the rest. I still don't understand why Morrisons refused to take on any of Safeway's systems. I'm surprised that it's taken this long for the idea to resurface, and that Morri...

Re: Google+

meanwhile, google+ is now apparently open to all with a google account also, gmail has a new google+ style design, if you pop into settings and choose "preview" or "preview (dense)" you'll see it. Rather nice imo Oooh, I like, but I already miss the 'Phantasea' theme. I hope the...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

Three 'M Local' stores will be open on the 'M62 Corridor' pretty soon, one of them as shown in the picture there, one of the other stores will be at Upton Rocks near Widnes, I think one of them may have opened already as some advertising already has 'Not at Morrisons Local' on screen. Big mistake i...
