Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

Steddenm making completely incorrect claims about the ITV3 repeat runs of Coronation Street and Emmerdale. For someone who once claimed to run the "Trafalgar Group" , supposedly a media company which seemed to be involved in virtually every aspect of British TV, you'd think he'd be more cl...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

I don't know, it was only a couple of weeks ago I was arguing with someone who was insulting me for not being able to wear a mask and telling me "normality is never coming back". And only yesterday someone I know (vaguely) in the US was calling for all big events to be cancelled for the fo...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

Part of the problem is, far too many people are still stuck in the lockdown mentality. Nearly every day I hear from someone who thinks we should at least bring back masks every winter (and even some who think they should be a permanent part of our lives- so many people seem to have made masking part...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

So much about the last couple of years has been so ill thought out, I don't think we'll be looking back on as a success in the coming years. The cerfews making more people congregate in larger groups at an earlier time rather than spread out over a longer period is just one part. I have a feeling we...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

In terms of restrictions, Ireland's restriction that nothing can be open after 8pm is rather daft although the NPHET actually wanted a 5pm curfew which the Irish Government resisted. Seeing as Ireland's per capita case rate is currently double that of the UK's, I think that tells you how effective ...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

I have read that the Plan B measures expire later this month (I think the 26th) and they need parliament to vote to extend them- I wonder in the current situation just how likely such a vote would be to pass? If he could even get as far as getting to a vote in the first place, I could see the threat...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

I'm thinking with cases and hospitalisations coming down, and below even the "best case" modelled scenarios (who could have predicted that the modelling would be way off... again?) that it probably won't be too long until we see restrictions start to be lifted in England (Scotland and espe...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

I wonder if she'll get rid of the one way systems and queuing outside shops too, they're just as pointless and damaging.

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times

Scotland's likely to be the last due to the SNP having the most reason to keep them as part of their political game playing with Westminster, though the way Mark Drakeford's been acting recently makes it seem just as likely to be Wales. Both are clearly going to keep restrictions much longer than ne...
