Not at all, dundee, I just lack the ability to edit and amend my posts, as some do.Hymagumba wrote:talking to yourself now are we plmouth? another sign of madness
Ideally both comments would've appeared in a single post.

Have you always found yourself turning up at parties moments after everyone else has left?

No need to apologise. It did make me laugh, and you've made your point so I shall curb my enthusiasm forGavin Scott wrote:'in' that case please accept my 'sincere' apology.
Perhaps the random insertion of them should be removed before they irritate everyone?

Or as Stuart would say, "'I' 'think' its the music that accompanies 'it'." No no, 'I' think 'you''ll find 'it''d be "The music that 'accompanies' 'it'." 'Perhaps' 'you''re 'correct'. Very amusing, I'm sure. http://www.sympato.ch/smileys/megabounce.gif I notice they appear random...

Re: So are Labour on their way out?
It's fairly common practice when used to indicte a particular phrase or word or teminology. It's far from random. No. They're used to indicate irony, nonstandard usage or an obscure word. You use them for emphasis which is wrong and irritating. And not just to Sput and Gav. http://www.gorillaenterp...

Re: So are Labour on their way out?
Following on from the above, Stuart, would you mind awfully not wrapping words unnecessarily in apostrophes like the second coming of Rob Del Monte? It's fairly common practice when used to indicte a particular phrase or word or teminology. It's far from random. A flat rate of attendance allowance ...

Re: So are Labour on their way out?
Brown has stepped in with a clear and decisive proposal to scrap the second home allowance, and introduce a flat rate on expenses - much less generous than before. I don’t see much that is particularly ‘clear’ in his proposal from the brief statement so far. No figure has been released for this ‘at...

Re: So are Labour on their way out?
But having said all this, it may have no effect on the election as on this matter I suspect the public consider politicians all as bad as each other. From the 2007/08 Summary of Allowances it seems that most MPs are claiming similar amounts. It will be July before we find out whether £20K on 'Housi...

Re: So are Labour on their way out?
There was a very interesting 'Dispatches' programme on C4 last night which explored the issue of MPs' expenses among other things. It was quite balanced, from a party political point of view. It explored how many have breached the 'rules' they are so fond of quoting. What incenses me most about the ...
