Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
I know a few members of Argos staff that were redeployed to Sainsburys Click & Collect due to the huge demand over lockdown. Demand for the service is still strong and I'd imagine they see this as a priority over re-opening Argos stores which probably make relatively less.

They're... weird. It's nice to hear the classic Asda theme again though.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
For a good few months the place really seems to have taken a turn for the worse. A handful of times since I left I've had a browse for any glimmers of hope but it just feels a such an ugly environment to me now.

Re: Intu takeover called off
Derby, St. Davids and the Arndale are fine for what they are too - although there does seem to be a strong correlation between how 'intu'y' a centre is and how crap it is, I agree.. It's more the role retail plays in a city centre atmosphere which is changing, and I'm not sure any of them are ready...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
I have absolutely no interest in returning to the forum as a contributor but I did recently check up on the bunch of white men moaning about people objecting to the use of blackface in Little Britain. Ne1L C saying "what’s needed right now is mature and rational discussion" while referring...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times
One of the things I can’t understand is face coverings... I assume WHO and the government are just going along with telling people to wear them for psychology reasons only? I mean, surely if you can smell the fart which came from the man standing in front you through your face covering, it is going...

Re: Coronavirus - Strange times
Was watching this video from John Lewis and thinking how much POS will need to be updated if they do reduce the social distancing to 1 metre. Some signage people must be doing a decent trade right now. although I suppose all the usual work has dried up. Thinking of getting into the "sticky stu...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
I think it's amazing that Brekkie thinks that blackface was no more acceptable in 2003 than it is now - quite clearly it was. I think for a long time the general consensus in the UK was that blackface was defined as The Black & White Minstrel Show and that's it. That was the line not to cross. ...

Superdrug has its own standalone beauty concept called Beauty Studio. I'm not sure how widespread they are but there's one in Cardiff.

They've now gone into administration, with 200 immediate job losses, but 1800 staff will be furloughed and receive 80% of pay.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Yes I prefer what they've done with the logo. It has a more high end feel about it. Like something you'd see on those overpriced 80% chocolate bars.
