Re: Your first smoke-free chance this Sunday - 1st July 2007

And where is the only bar in the country you can still smoke? The bar in the house of commons. Its a fucking joke innit. Ummm.... no. This is a piece of misinformation that seems to have been VERY widely spread to the point where everyone believes it. Yes, the ban doesn't legally apply to the Palac...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Probably not, it's amazing how many stores of big national chains just get forgotten about in refits...just when I thought that Argos had finished rolling out their current brand to every store, this week I notice that Minehead still has one with the 1970's logo on the front. And until 2004, Plymou...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

And there was me thinking it wouldn't really take more than a miniscule amount of intelligence to cope with two logos for a shop or work out that Your M&S refers to M arks and S pencer... My comment was really more about Sainsbury's using two totally different logos for no reason reason rather than...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

It can be confusing, as companies sometimes have 2 different logos for no real reason, like Marks & Spencer who use the "Your M&S" logo promotionally but use the "Marks & Spencer" logo on store signage and products. Sainsbury's were the same for much of the 1990s- they had the old capitalised logo i...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Exactly the same thing happened when Lloyds Bank and TSB merged - for several years even quite small towns had two branches of Lloyds TSB, often on the same street. Not so now - most towns have lost one. We actually still have two, and they're not far from each other either. We also had 3 Halifaxes...

Re: The Asda Thread

I'm not sure at all where this idea that Asda is a "chav shop" comes from. We shop in Asda, as do most people we know, none of which I could describe as chavs, or remotely "rough". Neither are most of the people I see shopping in there.

One thing that would send me to the police is the fact that the person who sent it me has my address- and I don't want to be woke up at 2AM by heavies wanting the money back, only to explain I spent it on that second hand Porche on the drive

What sucks is DSU- the forum set up by some people who got banned from DS and have nothing better to do than slag off DS and its members.

Sorry if you thought I was annoying you with my stuff about BSB Squarials. The thing is, surely if you had a BSB system, even though Sky gave you a free dish and box, you'd have still wanted to have put your BSB system to use, wouldn't you. No, I doubt most people would have given a fuck. They'd go...

You say it's a Belkin router? Pick it up and chuck it in the bin. They're a load of shite. I had one and had no end of problems with it. My aunt had the same router, and the same problems. Useless pile of shit. Wouldn't touch anything made by them again.
