Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

There were two sets of check outs in the old store in Derby city centre, though that closed and moved back in 2000.

Re: Brexit

Who cares what the ERG think anyway? They're a bunch of loons.

Yes, the store in East Midlands Airport had a Sainsbury's to go section when I flew from there last October.

It's an odd world where Trafford Centre and Meadowhall won't have an HMV but Mansfield Four Seasons will.
One of the few things we have left after the town centre's been run down the last 15 or so years.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

TVs are so cheap these days I wonder how many people even need to have one on credit, especially BrightHouse credit where the interest is probably significantly more than the cost of the TV, unless you're literally next to penniless. It's not like the old Radio Rentals days when they were expensive ...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

I presume "Manchester, Trafford" means the one in the Trafford centre, unless there's one elsewhere in Trafford.

Shame the one on Oxford street's going, not that long ago there were two on Oxford Street, both of them a lot bigger than the one that's there now. But I guess if it's not viable.

Although I do like the irony of her bringing her deal basically unchanged back to parliament to be voted on again in a "you gave the wrong answer last time, let's try again shall we" situation.
The public aren't allowed to vote again, but she's going to make MPs vote again.

Re: Brexit

Yesterdy my mum had a post from a pro-brexit group shared into her facebook feed from a colleague yesterday which sickened her, which was a picture of a union jack which said "1914-1918, 1939-1945, we owe Europe nothing", which tells you everything you need to know about some people (and the colleag...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

I did already mention that, though as I said it's technically not an advantage of vinyl itself, as there's nothing stopping them releasing those things on CD or download without said compression if they wanted to. Though I guess if they can use the lack of processing as a way to flog more expensive ...

He probably talks more sense than half of the people on there.

I wonder if he's still emailing obscene show suggestions to Challenge?

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

We had Hermes for an Amazon delivery last year. We were away from home for a couple of days and came home to find the package had been left outside pushed behind the dustbin. And it had rained heavily in the meantime and got ruined. Thankfully they sent a replacement free of charge that wasn't deliv...
