Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

Almost wondering how long before Asda ends up in here, with the total mess it's ending up under the Issa brothers.

Re: The Twitter eXodus

"Mass blocking and reporting" wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference and they wouldn't get banned if the people being reported were posting within the rules. The fact they get banned shows that they aren't. Just because Elon's normalised hate and abuse doesn't mean other sites should ...

Re: The Twitter eXodus

I left Twitter literally as soon as Elon took over, it was clear even then what sort of person he was and he was doing to the site, a shame it's taken so long for other people to finally catch up, but at least it's finally happening. I got a Bluesky invite quite early on, so have been there for a ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

Hobbycraft still use them, I was in the one in Dundee earlier in the year and they were playing a horriffic cover of Into The Groove and I couldn't wait to get out of there.

I'd argue that those bad covers are even worse than the sort of thing Asda's playing now. Because the covers are songs you ...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

Seems suspiciously like an AI rewrite of the first post in the thread. They've done it with the public transport thread too.

I don't even understand the point of having bots that do this.

Re: The rise of the dodgy shop

If you're walking down the pavement and inhale someone's vape cloud, it's better than inhaling someone's Lambert & Butler fumes.

I'd rather not inhale either. People ripping clouds around other people and trying to justify it with "it's not as bad as fag smoke" aren't doing themselves any ...

Re: There an election this year.....

I'm not sure I believe all this stuff about reform putting up fake candiates, not sure even they'd be so stupid considering the consequences. Was ridiculously stupid for them to put up anonymous and hard to trace paper candidates and AI photos considering the scrutiny they were going to be under ...

Re: There an election this year.....

Alba got less than 12,000 votes and lost all their deposits, the SNP wouldn't have done any differently even if every single Alba vote went to them instead.

Re: There an election this year.....

The SNP collapse was much bigger than I expected, even Dundee moved from a 12,000 safe seat to a 645 marginal.

That, and the meltdown from their supporters, has been one of the other pleasures of this election. Seen so many of them screaming betrayal and that the people who voted and the MPs ...
