Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain
It’s a trail rather than an advert but we have Sky News playing at work, and they still play the sodding new look Breakfast advert practically every time they have an ad break. Drives me insane.

Re: With all the recent inflationary price rises, is there stuff you just won’t pay for now?
With you on going out. We probably do more brunch than evening meals out these days but even then you’re throwing away £30+ for two of us for essentially half an hour of gratification.
Funnily enough on the other hand there are things I’ll keep paying for - I think we subscribe to pretty much ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
Getting a bit bored of the tracking of BBC programmes having the old logo on them.
Same. I get it’s frustrating for some but they literally said at the launch of the new logo it’d be a transition, and they wouldn’t rush to change things.
That said, they’re hardly so thinly stretched that they ...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
I like to think the people who say they miss being able to shop for Pick n' Mix the most whenever the latest high street chain goes bust are the same people who in every survey done say they want more high brow programming about culture and the arts, and less programming like Jeremy Kyle.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
I’m not convinced anyone actually bought pick n mix from Woolworths to be honest. It was just there.

Re: The rise of the dodgy shop
Have to say I’ve not seen any that say they’re cash only? I don’t think any of this is a tax thing.

Re: The rise of the dodgy shop
There’s one in my village. An Off License with very flashy-looking signage, rammed full of stock including lots of alcopops and a baffling array of sweets. Exactly the same opening times as the Co-op a few doors up and with higher prices. Always empty. Brand new Mercs parked round the back. Make it ...

Re: Media Talk Forum Watch News and Information Board
People let themselves worry too much about The Clique sometimes around here, whereas it all really makes a lot more sense if you just condense down enough Kojak/Solari/Studio7/KatsKaravan/Latest-Username-This-Week posts on who is kissing up to who first into something simpler to read. To save ...

What’s fun about this is it’s on a retail park and therefore not one you’d necessarily refer to as “WHS Preston” (which would surely be the city centre one).
Seen another pop up on Twitter so it’s definitely a thing.
I ...
