Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

I don’t even know what my Waitrose card does. I scan it but I’ve never seen any evidence of points, offers, or anything 🤷‍♂️

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

That might be common but it’s nothing like the Sainsburys / Argos setup.

I’ve worked in a similar setup where we had a franchise branded coffee shop as part of a wider offer, and all the costs and all the takings get lumped together. Just because the BBC have some unnecessarily convoluted way of accou...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

Not sure I’m following this logic. It’s owned by Sainsburys. It’s as likely to pay rent as the deli counter.

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

It’s probably a rent thing. There may well be a clause in their agreement that they don’t have to pay anything or a reduced amount to their landlords in the event of something preventing them opening, so those with the higher rents may be exploiting this. Obviously ones in Sainsburys stores have (I ...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

I've decided to take a backseat over at TV Forum as well. I won't go into the background detail as to why I came to this decision but suffice it to say after 20 years of practically daily contributions, I don't feel particularly inclined to post at the moment. Maybe that will change, but I think fo...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

I was called deceitful and Fake News over something I knew 100% to be correct. I just wasn't prepared to take that kind of abuse from someone who'd be...

Totally agree. He’s like a grumpy and pompous version of the brilliant and clearly lovely John Suchet.
