Re: Metro/TFM

Nope, North West. Maybe it’s picking it up from there though.

Re: Metro/TFM

Recently noticed Greatest Hits has appeared on FM where I am (after years on AM). No idea what it has replaced but even their website doesn’t seem to advertise this.

Re: End of MAY

Something that’s being missed in all this about May resigning... She will have to go to the Queen to resign and suggest her successor (ie the new Tory leader). That person then has to command a majority in the House of Commons, otherwise they can’t form a government. So say Boris becomes leader, th...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

Smart move I reckon. Potentially better margins, combined with Tesco’s existing systems and distribution. Nervousness around the economy from Brexit means there’s potentially a lot of people downgrading from eating out to eating something of a decent quality from a supermarket instead.

Re: End of MAY

It’s not just the Tories who need Rory Stewart, it’s the country. He seems to be one of the only ones on either side of the political spectrum right now who can operate respectfully - either Johnson or Corbyn as leader would cause massive division. Everyone else is too angry as well. Please don't b...

Re: End of MAY

Just a thought and I don't know if it would be possible. The day before the new leader is announced, could May go to Buckingham Palace and ask for permission to dissolve Parliament trigging a General Election? It is said that the Queen doesn't get involved really in politics and leaves that up to h...

Re: End of MAY

I agree with you on Rory Stewart. I wouldn’t say Corbyn ever really operates disrespectfully. He suffers from a type of scrutiny politicians on the right do not. That said I don’t think he would make a good prime minster. The man himself isn’t particularly disrespectful but fuck me, the people who ...

I’ve stuck a tenner on Esther McVey, got it at 80/1. She’s taking it seriously.
Commiserations on losing that tenner.
It was a punt. She could have gathered some momentum but her LGBT comments didn’t help and ultimately Lorraine finished her off I think.

There are almost as many posts here complaining about it than there are posts over there.

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

I went to an Asda today for the first time in ages, and I’m pleased to report that they have rationalised the number of different fonts on their POS down to around 5.
