Looks like a Taste the Difference rebrand is imminent:

In my excitement at a 'scoop' I only took a photo of the logo and not the wider box...!
Looks quite nice but I do wonder if it suffers from the same issue that ...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
Crikey, not every day a long-time member has the banhammer wielded on them! I sort of don't believe it's permanent - I suppose there was that weird spat where he was going round berating other members without good reason but I didn't think that would lead to his demise!

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board
Very quickly deleted by the mods but quite a revealing slip of the mask from the user 'Newsroom' tonight, after Cando joked that Newsroom might fancy the BBC's Ben Thompson... I believe Newsroom called Cando a moron in reply and questioned why ON EARTH Cando would suggest he was gay! Just a little ...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
Sainsbury's stores in general seem to be much more tired in general IMO. Locals seem to get their original fit-out and then are left as-is for a very long time - have seen plenty of old fascias knocking about (although this is true too, albeit to a lesser extent I think, for Tesco) and inside stores ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
I still find the voice on the Tesco self service checkouts really bizarre - he has the nasally voice of someone from a cheesy regional radio advert.
Even weirder are the things he says like "Find your item, or have a browse" - because of course you're going to have a browse of what you fancy ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
Clearly new ideas are hard to come by in retail, as I note M&S have resurrected ‘this isn’t just food...’ on some of their recent advertising!
Went to grab lunch from a Simply Food today and also discovered that they’d got the Britain’s Got Talent judges to pre-record the voiceover for the tills ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
Oooh, does that mean you'll be able to scan both your Clubcard and your Nectar card in the above example, in the same way *I think* you can scan both your Sparks card and Nectar card in M&S Simply Food BP forecourt stores? Have never actually done the latter (scanned the Nectar but not the Sparks ...

Re: The Co-op Thread
Used a Co-op self service till today and was mightily impressed. Was one of the card only machines so didn’t have a scale but was by far the quickest self serve checkout I’ve used. Unlike some places (Boots jumps out as an example) there’s no need to press any buttons prior to scanning, no clunky ...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread
Went into a NatWest branch for the first time today to make a transfer, as I could only pay a certain amount via the app as I hadn't paid the payee before, and because to do a higher amount online you need the card reader, which I didn't have as I was at work. A quite baffling experience ensued ...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread
Where was I? Ah yes.
What's the procedure, I wonder, with removing 'hole in the wall'-style cashpoints from a building that was once a bank but no longer is? Saw a huge old ex-Barclays the other day (complete with the night-safe still intact on the wall) still with some very modern Barclays ATMs ...
