Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

Not sure about anyone else, but based on the last few posts in this thread, it feels like there might be some fairly obvious reasons certain members have had their accounts restricted…

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

Very impressed by just how many members have seen the timing of the Jake Humphrey leaving BT Sport/Philip Schofield leaving This Morning announcements as meaning that Jake is destined to take over on This Morning…!

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

The "This Morning" thread has to be one of the most embarrassing things I've seen on TVF/TVLF/Pres Cafe in a long time.

Got to love members who post in there constantly about unsubstantiated gossip admitting to not even watching the programme in the first place.

And in classic TVF style, a few ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

Amazon have opened two new Fresh stores at Monument and East Croydon which don't require an account to enter, and let you pay by scanning a QR code on the way out, or a payment card, or even a manned checkout.

Some details here .

Now that's more like it. Having the choice of being able to ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

Newsroom’s relentless critique of certain BBC News presenters is tedious, isn’t it? I think mods intervened recently so their latest approach seems to be to continue to slate said-presenter but without mentioning them by name, which I’m not sure anyone is being fooled by…

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

I’ve been meaning to comment on the new M&S self-service checkouts for a few months, as wherever I’ve encountered them I’ve found them to be terrible.

Firstly, they’re absolutely massive - the base to the till (which accepts cards and coins, something I recognise is increasingly rare) is huge and ...

Computer vs tablet

After a good eight year run for my ageing Macbook, I recently bit the bullet and purchased a replacement. Don’t get me wrong, my old Mac was still perfectly competent for the most part, but there were definitely areas where it was starting to show its age. Some of these have been issues for years ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board

I know it's early days but both forums feel a bit flat at the moment. Pres Cafe is certainly the more active of the two but not by a huge amount, especially when compared to the TV Forum/TV Live Forum transition where everyone pretty much went 'as I was saying before I was interrupted' and carried ...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board

Has anyone been getting a 'Forbidden' page while trying to access TV Live? I've received this page twice recently.

I've been getting this '403 - Forbidden' page seemingly at random over the past week or so now I reckon. I went to reply to your post the other day saying I'd been experiencing it ...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

On a similar theme, I seem to remember a news story a few years back about shares in Tate & Lyle plummeting over the newly-announced sugar tax. That is, until investors remembered that Tate & Lyle had sold their sugar refining business some years earlier, but the new owners had bought the right to ...

I wonder how many people can claim to be devout fans of both Anne Robinson and Julian Simmons!
