Tick when full?
Going by the advert above, a card was considered full when it had £5 worth of points on. A handy way, I presume, to keep track of the multiple cards you needed to collect to buy that Casio watch entirely with those cards.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

In Europe it's called 'Phone House' which is a much more accurate name, both in describing what they sell and the size of the shop itself. It's called Elgiganten Phone House now, which is a bit of a mouthful. I was sure Currys/PC World/Carphone were heading for a rebrand as Knowhow a few years back...

Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread

I've just taken a look through my cards. The only one being close to unreadable is the Clubcard, where the white printing of the card number has crazed. My embossed cards have lost some of their silver coating, but are readable due to being embossed The only damage I have ever seen on cards I've use...

I'd not realised that Rachel Horne was both the newsreader and travel reporter - meaning the 7am jingle needed a naff rework.

The EU funded logo that I remember was for one of the Work Programme providers, taking pride of place on their timesheets.
I'm not sure they asked to be put there.
I believe there is actually a requirement to show the logo if they are in receipt of EU funding.

Re: Brexit

Although I do like the irony of her bringing her deal basically unchanged back to parliament to be voted on again in a "you gave the wrong answer last time, let's try again shall we" situation. The public aren't allowed to vote again, but she's going to make MPs vote again. The referendum was a vot...

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

I imagine it's been a long while since someone posted here about an advert that entertains rather than irritates, but I really like the HSBC ads with Richard Ayoade. He's the perfect person to get the point across without appearing preachy or smug. Well it would seem a bit strange for HSBC not to d...
