What an absolute fucking shambles.
Not really surprising though - the second round of this process had little point when any, every, or no option could be voted on the first time round.

Re: Brexit

Voting for things for stupid reasons is nothing new. How many people in the past voted a certain way because their parents did (or the opposite), for example? A good proportion of the votes for both options in the referendum will have been made for stupid reasons.

Also things with opengraph metadata like links to news websites will now display nicer.
The way it was laid out when I first saw it made me think it was an advert initially.

Re: Brexit

Police estimates and headcounts, coach and rail ticket sales plus other data will all have contributed to the figure. No point putting something out that could be easily disproven by Guido etc. The Metropolitan Police no longer estimate crowd sizes: this was made clear last time round. Such figures...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

Aldi have launched their own 'local' brand although rather than a move into convienience stores this is merely a trial at rebranding their smaller city stores that have less of their range. This could be the start of Aldi finally opening up across London, they've been seriously lagging behind Lidl ...

Re: Brexit

There will be 1 million people on the streets of London tomorrow demanding a PV or revocation. Meanwhile there's 50 geriatrics and 50 dead bodies on the A1. Current figure: "tens of thousands". I don't even think the organisers' spurious figures would put it at a million. Only if you believe the BB...

Re: Brexit

Maybe if our leadership had shown any sign of compromise or consensus gathering, there would have been a chance of the two sides merging. Instead we're now at the end of a 1000 day process of refusing to compromise or confirm which direction things should move. How anyone can be surprised that the ...

Re: ***THE OFFICIAL ALL NEW SAFEWAY THREAD***

Looks like Morrisons are opening Safeway Daily stores in petrol stations, which seems confusing, as McColls which stock the Safeway brand are launching Morrisons Daily stores. https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/derby-news/safeway-returns-uk-opening-derby-2620605 This should be no surprise, as th...
