Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

I wouldn't be surprised if Croydon Whitgift Centre is on that list, it's due to go when the centre is demolished for the new Westfield development. There's another in the neighbouring Centrale. Most shops in the Whitgift have another in the Centrale to ensure a presence in town. The ones that I'd b...

I’ve stuck a tenner on Esther McVey, got it at 80/1. She’s taking it seriously.
That'll be a tenner you'll never see again.

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

I'd read some speculation on Twitter that the Jack's items being sold in Tesco was some way of getting rid of short-dated / overstock items. The one and only Jack's line at my local Tesco - 4 x 330ml Jack's Lemonade at 79p - has a date of January 2020, which if anything suggests it's new stock.

BM11 blaming the BBC for fucking his own printer settings up and being unable to print a PDF correctly in the Eurovision thread is gold.

I'm whelmed.
And what a coincidence that you asked about that logo - as bang on as the speaking clock.

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

I think it looks alright, but their own brand stuff looks pretty decent already. Do any of the supermarkets still do value / budget ranges? I can’t picture any of them. Morrisons still have Savers (with the very spartan packaging), though I think the range has reduced slightly. Tesco have splintere...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

Looks like a Taste the Difference rebrand is imminent: https://up.metropol247.co.uk/Critique/2CA82CEF-AC18-4E58-A48D-41A943B6CF9E.jpeg In my excitement at a 'scoop' I only took a photo of the logo and not the wider box...! Looks quite nice but I do wonder if it suffers from the same issue that the ...

Where has this Ne1L C person come from all of a sudden? According to their profile they have been a member for years so why are they only just annoying me with their posting (and then very quickly deleting) of rather... unique mocks.
Previous good fortune on your part, I presume.

What an absolute fucking shambles.
Not really surprising though - the second round of this process had little point when any, every, or no option could be voted on the first time round.

Re: Brexit

Voting for things for stupid reasons is nothing new. How many people in the past voted a certain way because their parents did (or the opposite), for example? A good proportion of the votes for both options in the referendum will have been made for stupid reasons.
