Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

Last week I went into a Morrisons on the outskirts of Birmingham where the shop itself was raised and the ground floor was a car park. While I've seen a few branches of Tesco like this (and the new Ikea in Sheffield is like it too), it's the first store I've seen of another supermarket chain built ...

Yet another GMB request thread...
What is a "dynamic logo" anyway? Sounds like a "web 3.0" way of saying 'animated logo'.

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

Sugar watch update: full fat coke is no longer part of the Sainsbury's meal deal (kind of like everything else they sell that I like and used to be in the deal).

Also in sugar watch, Brewers Fayre have removed all the sugared options from their self dispense (the pepsi ones with the flavour options) machines too.

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

The seating is no great loss though, there's never been enough for the amount of people who want to use it, and even when there was seats the tables were always piled high with rubbish because nobody seems bothered about using the bins. Think the only time I've ever got a seat in there was at 8am on...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

Off the top of my head the only other places that offer bottomless soft drinks are Nando's, Harvester, Toby Carvery, Beefeater, Hungry Horse possibly.... but there's a possibility those could follow suit soon...... so get used to the idea because I don't think it's going away. Here's what Nando's a...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

There's also a couple of ex-Jacksons store round here that are pretty awful. The one by my house (Truro Works?), appears to be closing this coming Sunday, which will be annoying as it leaves a fairly big gap where there's no convenience store (except the Spar in the station car park, and that's a p...

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread

More stores have opened today in comparison to yesterday, but as mentioned above, why would you risk going in if they don't have basics such as burger buns? I wonder if it's because of the scale of the franchising. While the larger groups, and KFC themselves can probably cope with a few days shutdo...

I've disabled JavaScript for their sites, it's the only way to actually see what they're writing amongst the guff.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

Once upon a time I would have used Maplin a lot for work out of necessity. I can now get everything I need from Amazon at a better price and delivered with 24 hours. I find that the things I would've used to get from Maplin aren't stocked these days, and they only offer collect from store in "5 - 7...

What was with mannewskev going on with the alcoholism shtick? Not funny, potentially offensive and making yourself look the worst poster in an argument with cityprod?
I'd go with "because it obviously pissed him off"
